Over 700 local Jewish host families are needed to open their homes to more than 700 visiting Jewish teen athletes participating in the JCC Maccabi Games® in Columbus. The host family experience is a unique and rewarding aspect of the Games – for athlete, host family, and community alike. Lasting memories and relationships created during the week of the Games between athletes and host families are an integral part of the JCC Maccabi Games® experience.

The host family offers the athlete a “home away from home” and a unique way to experience the Games and all the Columbus Jewish community has to offer. In turn, host families experience the Games on a personal level, connecting with their friends and neighbors, and building a bond with their visiting athletes that extends well beyond the Closing Party.

Host families must provide a Jewish home for two or more visiting athletes. Each athlete must have his/her own bed (air mattresses are acceptable).
